Mango Banana Breakfast Smoothie (that tastes like a thickshake)

I looove mangoes (I mean who doesn’t). I could have one for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Quite literally. So a few
days ago, on a warm Melbourne morning- I wanted to have a liquid breakfast, WITH mango. And voila! This smoothie was born.

I took out frozen mango and banana from the freezer and thought for a few seconds about how I could make this both yummy and filling. Since I like to keep things simple for myself, this is what I went with.
 Smoothie
Ingredients:
1 ripe frozen banana
1/2 cup frozen mango
(or use fresh fruit, and add some ice)
1/3 cup rolled oats
Water– start with 1/2 cup and add more if you like
1/2 tbsp chia seeds (optional)
1/2 tsp Maca root powder (optional)
A few chopped walnuts: to sprinkle on top
Method: Blend all ingredients (except for the walnuts) in a high powered blender until smooth. Add more water if you prefer, and blend again for a few seconds. Otherwise, pour into a glass, sprinkle the chopped walnuts and enjoy!
Bite-Size Tip #3: If you are new to smoothies, don’t get disheartened if you don’t like your first one. Try a few different recipes till you find the ones that you like.
